Most animal lovers don't like seeing animals inside cages, and one often think that most zoo's don't treat their animals good enough. But in Palmitos Park you actually must admit that the animals seems to have a nice time and are taken good care of.

Most of the big birds live in the same big cage, walking around together with the tourists. You can almost touch the feathers of the pink flamingoes enjoying themselves in the lake inside the cage. A strange ducklike bird comes up to you trying to make contact, making a peculier sound like a pig. Watch you sandals:-)

The whole area burned down a couple of years ago, but one could not believe that entering this wonderful garden of eden. Big palmtrees and cactus mixed with eucalyptus trees grows willingly everywhere, and running water fills up ponds and small rivers in between. You really enjoy this rich and beautiful park.

In the park you may see the biggest lizard there is. It's not a part of the "inhabitans", but have chosen to live here, partly because of the tourists and easy way to food, but also because of how the park is made. They are not exactly pretty, but fun to watch.

The park also have an aquarium, a butterfly house, and some other animals like monkeys and kangaroos. And two things you don't want to miss is the great show with big and dangerous eagels, and the fun and fantastic parrot show.
